Using The Quiltmaker's Gift as inspiration, Olivia Nienaber chose 17 quilt patterns (which were made into 18 barn quilts) from the book that could be replicated in a large-scale format.

In 2015, 7 of the quilts were created and installed; and in 2016, 11 more barn quilts were made -

for a total of 18 barn quilts.
